Refund Policy

1. Retreats

  • Cancellation by the Participant:

    • No refunds can be given once payment has been made due to the high costs associated with pre-booking retreats. Subject to availability, participants may be able to transfer their spot to another person or apply the payment as a credit for a future retreat.

  • Cancellation by The Deconstruction Doula:

    • A full refund will be provided if the retreat is canceled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

    • Participants may transfer their payment to a future retreat, if preferred.

2. Online Peer Support Groups

  • Before the group start date:

    • Full refund minus a processing fee if cancellation is requested at least 7 days before the group begins.

  • After the group has started:

    • No refunds can be given once a cohort begins due to the nature of group dynamics and the need for consistent participation.

    • Exceptions can be made for extraordinary circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies) on a case-by-case basis. 

  • Policy on missed sessions:

    • No refunds for missed sessions. Participants will have access to group recordings or session summaries to catch up.

3. Digital Products

  • Due to the instant and irrevocable nature of digital downloads, no refunds are provided for purchased digital products.

  • If a participant encounters technical issues (e.g., unable to access a video), The Deconstruction Doula will provide troubleshooting assistance or reissue access to the content.

4. Other Circumstances

  • In the event that you are removed from a group or event for violation of our privacy policy or terms and conditions, no refunds are provided. See our terms and conditions for more details.

  • If circumstances arise that are not covered by this policy, each instance will be handled on a case-by-case basis as applicable, and in compliance with all applicable law. 

5. Physical Products

  • Physical products from The Deconstruction Doula are fulfilled by Printful, and their return policy controls. Their policy can be read here, but they do not offer refunds for what they call "buyer's remorse," including wrong sizes and incorrectly entered addresses.

  • If you purchase a product in error (e.g., wrong size) or otherwise want to request consideration for a refund outside of Printful's policy, feel free to contact us, and we will consider each instance on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability. This isn't our favorite, and as soon as possible, we're working to find a new supplier that can combine ethical production practices with a more forgiving return policy.
